Hello loves!
Apologies for the long wait before posting again – life has been happening. Chances and risks have been taken. The journey of self-discovery is a beautiful one. I have no regrets, because I believe that one single moment of hesitation can impact your whole life and the ripple effects that leave us pondering on the “what ifs and should haves” stay long after. Where that pretty picture we envisioned is slowly being dimmed by our faltering ability to make a choice.
I have recently truly come to the realisation that it's not the things we do that we will regret, but the things we did not want to do. A particular someone who has had more than a hand in helping (without knowing) to formulate the ideas I use for my writing recently admitted to being an idiot. In the most matter of fact way. I was curious to know what he meant. Maybe he did something ruthless enough that would deduce him to an idiot? I probed.
His reply: “I am an idiot, because I willingly & knowingly go where I want to go. The consequences are... of no consequence.”
Simply put, whatever happens after I have done all the things I wanted to do (consciously so) does not matter.
Quite an epiphany. And quite a challenge!
One that might lead you to a place you were meant to be. If ever there was a time you wanted to know, it’s now. Rise from the box you have placed yourself in and hear, see, feel and taste things differently. With 2015 around the corner, let’s not rely on those redundant new year’s resolutions (which are carried over to the next year, anyway!) There is never a right time to make a choice, there is only now.
My wish to you for this festive season and the new year is that you are able to experience self-love, in its entirety. That you grow and become who you are. Not what you want them to think you are. Your move, loves!
See you in 2015!
ML,
